Brass Header (Distributor/Collector) for Fan Coil Unit Cooling Coil
Product Introduction
This fan coil brass header is a core end-fitting for central air conditioning water systems. It is cast in one piece from H59-1 or H62 brass. It has good corrosion resistance and pressure resistance. The header combines main pipe connections, an air vent/drain port, and a mounting locating slot. Its structure is compact, and installation is convenient. Every unit must pass a 100% hydraulic pressure test before leaving the factory. This helps to stop leakage problems in long-term use.
Function and Advantages
It is mainly installed at the water inlet and outlet ends of a fan coil unit cooling coil. The header works as a key converting part. It connects the main system pipe to the multiple copper heat exchange tubes in the coil. Its core job is to take chilled water or cooling water from one main pipe and distribute it evenly into each copper tube. At the same time, it collects the return water after heat exchange. This keeps the heat exchange efficiency of the fan coil. The air vent on the side can release trapped air inside the system in time. This avoids air lock and keeps water circulation normal. The vent can also be used for routine pipe draining and maintenance.
